We’re seeking a skilled Lead Security Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of various security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercom systems.



Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain security products and systems, including:
  • Access Control
  • Video Surveillance (CCTV)
  • Intrusion Detection
  • Intercom Systems
  • Design, install, and service integrated applications following governing codes and standards
  • Configure and program systems and networks as required
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged equipment or wiring
  • Coordinate system testing and final acceptance with customers and relevant agencies
  • Provide training and technical support to users with varying levels of IT, Security, and Fire knowledge
  • Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations, diagrams, and programming records
  • Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • Ensure customers understand the functionality of their system
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and core values
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and practices
  • Manage multiple tasks and resources effectively


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in installation of security systems, access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems
  • Proficiency with various manufacturer products, including Software House, American Dynamics, Bosch, DMP, Brivo, Continental, Honeywell, Aiphone, and other Enterprise Level Access Control systems
  • Basic computer and networking skills
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings
  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Security, Fire Life Safety, or Low Voltage experience
  • Access and Video Manufacturer’s certifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • State and Local Certifications as required (e.g., Ademco, Vista products)
  • Basic understanding of IT functionality


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs, push and pull more than 75 lbs
  • Climb ladders reaching at least 12 feet and use man lifts to perform services
  • Safely and effectively use general hand and power tools
  • Must be able to use a cell phone and phone apps effectively


Additional Information

  • Occasional after-hours availability may be required for extended troubleshooting
  • Must be able to work with IT administrators for system communication and remote access
